Questions I Use As I Near The Close | Network Marketing Success Tips

I wrote this post from notes I had sent on to train a new team member.  If you find them useful you are free to use them for your home based business too.  Do Like if of value 🙂 .

So lets begin …

Here are some of the questions I start to ask people as I come close to the end of a presentation. You may be using these or have your own style. If you find them useful do use them. More Stories to learn from!

  • Just after you finish with the Health side of the Health& Freedom Section of USANA presentation ask your prospects – “From what you have just seen me sharing with you about the USANA products do you feel you and your family could benefit from these great health products?” if they say yes, no or maybe just shake your head in confirmation, smile and move to the next section – the Business Section of the Presentation.
  • After the business section ask them what impressed them most of the business plan? (Wait for the answer or answers. Don’t suggest or interrupt them as they need to own the answer. They need to want the business and must know why.)
  • Then ask them which business plan – the 1BC or 3Bc will get them to their goals quicker? (again wait for their answer – then without saying anything go to the next question),
  • Now ask them – “For you to decide if this business is right for you how much income would you like to earn from your USANA Business each week?” –(again wait for their answer, don’t give any input here), move to next question…

From the above questions we have found out

  1. Why they like the products (if they don’t like health & nutrition then they may find doing USANA hard remember that). Its easier to do something you love and believe in is my humble opinion.
  2. What they found attractive in the business section?
  3. If they are keen to start small or big (1 BC or 3 BC)? We are searching for clues on how to close the prospect here. We want them to close themselves.
  4. We also know their goals as they have shared this with us throughout the presentation. For someone with health issues the business packages may not be important. Getting healthy is important to them. Yes they may buy a package to avail of the discounts but not necessarily do the home business. Listen to your clients’ needs not your personal goals. Many people loose potential clients because of this sadly. Keep your clients interest ahead of your weekly income goals.
  5. Finally we also now know if they want to make a little bit of money part time or may do this more seriously. We get to know their inner desires a bit more by asking questions. Remember that ‘Questions Are The Answers’ by Allan Pearce.

The Final Questions!

Now that you have this information lets go for the final questions to get the client into the company or set up a follow up appointment in the near future. The last questions to ask before sign on are:

  • For network marketing to work for you what type of income would attract you to put in some energy and planning to get the home based business you are looking at right now off the ground? (get them to re-establish their goals in income again),
  • How many hours a week would you devote comfortably to the USANA Business in Brisbane? – (you want to see if they will devote some time after signing the application),
  • How soon do you wish to hit the income level you just mentioned above?” – (you want to know what are their expectations are in achieving the goals they set. If the goals are achievable or not such as earning $1000 USD a week in 6 months with just 2 to 5 hours a week work maybe they may find it hard. You should not try convincing them its easy just to get a sign-on. After all this is a business and there is work to be done every day, each week. If they are prepared to do that yes they can get to $1000 a week for sure with some part time real work. Lets not lead them down the garden path that’s all a bed of roses. Its simple although not so easy – there is a bit of work to be done.
  • Then ask them finally “ When do you want to get started in your own USANA Business so that you can work part time and earn XXXXXX dollars a week in say XXXXXXX months. Would you like to do the paper work today so we can get your training started and you can start earning this very week.” (They may say immediately, in that case start the paperwork 🙂

PS: If they say tomorrow or next month you must do a few things immediately.

  1. Set a follow up meeting immediately before they leave,
  2. Ask them why do they need to wait until tomorrow or next month?
  3. If it’s a money or time issue see how you can explain that they can do it too. That’s just an excuse. If they don’t listen its ok. Just follow up in the time frame they gave you.

Move on to the next prospect asap.

The world is changing rapidly more so today than ever before. Today its all about connections and collaborations in getting work done and bringing in bigger and better results for family and companies.

The secret lies in leverage. The Power of leverage is the power to move small amounts of either work, money or time to return massive results.

What is Leverage?

The ability to influence a system, or an environment, in a way that multiplies the outcome of one’s efforts without a corresponding increase in the consumption of resources. In other words, leverage is the advantageous condition of having a relatively small amount of cost yield a relatively high level of returns.

This is one of the many reasons why so many people are forming collaborations with each other as they realize that doing things alone may not be the sensible thing after all. Two people can do twice as much as one. What if you gathered a team of like minded people passionate about a cause. Can you imagine the ripple effect that could have upon the community around you.

Have you ever seen a soccer or basket ball team play? Imagine playing in a soccer team now. The output of the team is the sum of each player’s output. What the team can output is many time more than what one person can do alone. No one is greater than the sum of the whole – the team. Yet when the team wins each player gets glory too. This is the power of leverage.

In our early days on the playgrounds in school or the sport fields at Universities we are attracted towards play in team sports. We feel safe and the bonding attracts us nurturing us into better players. All because we are accepted in a team. We feel proud to be a part of a team. The team becomes our family and nourishes our growth and pushes us to achieve much more than we could playing by ourselves. Only the Pros, a select few can venture out to play solo sports. The vast majority of us seek teams to foster ourselves to stardom.

So Why Cant We Learn From This!

Yet something happens as we migrate towards adult life. It seems we don’t take the lessons learned on the sport-fields into our working lives. We don’t see the correlation that life should be about partnerships rather than competition alone. Ninety five percent of people think that they can do better by doing things themselves. Why should it be a Win-Lose for us to win. Can we work in a Win-WIN scenario!

  • So how do we take this example in life and adapt it to our working life?
  • How do we stop playing the game of life of working alone and move towards working as a team?
  • Where we can achieve far more than just working by ourselves?

Moving Forward With This Knowledge!

Now using what we learned above lets adapt it to a great working model that can demonstrate the power of leverage in working life. Most of us will either sell a product or a service in our working life.

Example!

Imagine this example is about selling a product and the value is just $100 for each sale. You are allowed to earn a commission of 10% of each sale. So on the $100 the commission to you is just a small check of $10 as income.

When You Don’t Use Network Marketing For Success

Now you have a choice to either do all the work by yourself and work hard alone and try to make a living doing things alone or you can enlist the help of others, leverage with others, so as to increase the output thus increasing your commissions.

I shall use 6 times frames in months and lets see what you can achieve with leverage.

Month One – The Power of Leverage!

Imagine in the example below you just get two people to sell just $100 of products each.
This means the output is $200 and the commission is $20. You have literally doubled you income just by working with two people.

Month Two – How Leverage Can Start Working For You!

The following month you start to train and help these 2 people to get their 2 people.

The sales will be 400 dollars and the commissions at 10% will return you a income of $40. Not bad as you hardly did much in month Two. Yet your income jumped up 400% just by doing that. From $10 to $40. Pretty Good!

Month Three – Leverage Lesson 3!

In the third month you now have the 4 people that came in month Two to find their 2 people and now there is 8 new people in the team doing the same moving $800 worth of products. The commissions at 10% works out to be $80.

Again its not bad as you just brought in 2 people to begin with in month one. Your income has grown 8 times since you had started working with others.

Moving On to Month Six – What is Leverage – Lesson 4!

As the months go on we see in month Six you now start to earn $640 as commissions. This is 32 times more than what you were doing working alone. Just imagine that. Just imagine increasing your income 32 times in this example by just forming partnerships with like minded people.

Can you bring in 2 people this week and teach these two to bring their two the next week. Instead of doing this over 6 months why not consider doing this over 6 weeks instead.

For those of you really ambitious you can do this over 6 days if you want. That’s possible too, just a bit more work condensed into a shorter time frame.

The Benefits Of Working Smarter And Quicker!

If you do it quicker it attracts more energy, more excitement and more people towards you. You start to become a magnet for people.

Network marketing success! I have over the years found a few secrets to the keys to network marketing success that are worth sharing with people to show them the magic of a network marketing business. Succeeding in network marketing in the early days especially will depend on your understanding a few keys to network marketing success. One of them is the true value of money.

Why is the value money important where Network Marketing Success is concerned?

After all its just paper and you can very easily use it to light a fire, wrap up some glass for packing, or throw it away. But why do we treat money different to any other sort of paper. Its because of the perception of what we think money can buy. The banks have educated us that each note if handed over can get your either a service or a product. Suddenly this useless scarp of paper has value.
Most people seldom have a clue about the value of money. If you are considering succeeding in network marketing then you make want to know this.  Let me explain through an example here so you too can see what I mean.

Do you loose sleep when you drop a $10 bill?

Imagine you were walking down the street and you happened to drop a $10.00 note by accident. When you get home you realize your loss but you don’t seem too upset about it. After all its just a ten dollar note am I right. Why waste sleep over it!

Ok! How about we look at this same loss in another scenario.

Imagine you get woken up one night by your wife, sister or mother saying that there is somebody, an intruder on front porch and is taking down your light bulbs. Robbing them in fact.

Now what do you do? You grab the base ball bat and while your wife, sister or mother is calling the cops you try to stop the intruders.

Why do it? After all the costs of those bulbs is just $10 in all. It’s certainly not worth risking your life for $10. But you still do.

Why take the risk just for $10 when in the previous example you didn’t mind losing the $10 note on the road?

Its all because of value!

It’s because now the $10 has a value on it. You can feel it is just not paper money any more. You actually have something of value that the money bought. That something now gives you a benefit and you don’t want to lose it. The benefit is its now your proeprty that shines light every evening when you enter or leave your home. And someone is taking that away from you.

You are now willing to risk losing your life just for $10.

So succeeding in network marketing business is very similar.

You got to fight for what you are building.

Now the question is if you are willing to loose your life for $10, how much more are you willing to loose some sleep, take rejections from prospects  for the next 12 to 36 months to get back your life, your freedom so you can enjoy life more. Are you willing to fight for your very own network marketing success today. 🙂

When you get started in your network marketing business look at the network marketing success you are creating a few years from now. Just don’t look at the initial gains because you are creating much much more than just a few hundred dollars a week. Succeeding in network marketing will take guts, determination, passion, focus and action everyday.
