Its Day 16 since I started to focus on my goals even more seriously

January 8, 2018 by Claude Fullinfaw Leave a Comment

I thought I share a story close to my heart. Its about a lady who kissed her frog and now enjoys a life of freedom.

HAVE YOU EVER RECEIVED A 13th MONTH BONUS?

Last December many of you would have received the 13th month bonus from your company in the Philippines, am I right? How many of you actually did not spend that money on a new iPhone or a vacation last December 2017? Most would have either bought something new or paid off an existing loan of some sorts. I would too 🙂

But if you did buy something I bet you are enjoying the new gadget or the memories of the holiday just spent in the provinces. Its the way to spend the money. At least for many of us. After all we did work so hard for it, correct?

HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT CREATING VALUE FROM THAT MONEY?

However, what if you had spent that money on something much more valuable than just a new gadget or a trip to a seaside destination? Just imagine the value that investment would reap in the months to come. Now if you are confused what I am going on about let me share a story with you here.

This story is from a Filipina in Philippines who was once a coffee taster in her company in Makati, Manila. She said that back in 2009 she had a bonus of 16,000 pesos given to her as the 13th month salary from her company. Unlike a few Filipino friends she had she invested that money wisely in the bank in fixed deposits. After 12 months she had earned a tidy interest of about a few hundred pesos on her investment. She was pleased as her investment was certainly growing.

WHY DID SHE INVEST IN HOME BUSINESS?

Just about this time she was introduced to a network marketing home based business opportunity with a foreign company. Looking at the opportunity being presented she decided to withdraw her investment and take the whole amount and use that as the capital to get started in her own home business. Most people may think it is too risky to do that. I may have done so too. What about you?

Funnily enough the next 12 months gave her a return of just over 160,000 pesos. This was from her investment of 16,000 the year before. Prior to that the bank interest had not even taken her investment over a 1000 pesos. She was ecstatic and kept on working on her home business. I again met her in December 2017 in Makati, Manila.

NETWORK MARKETING CREATES EXPONENTIAL GROWTH!

She showed me how her small investment of 16,000 back in 2009 now pays her over 200,000 pesos a month. The best pay is that income keeps increasing because of the exponential growth of network marketing.

She is no longer a coffee taster for the company she once used to work for. She works part time for her self and drives a brand new Ford Lancer now. She owns her own apartment right on Palanca Street in Legaspi Village in Makati. I am so proud to have met her.

KISSING THAT FROG!

Just imagine if she had held on to her investment of 16,000. Where would she be today? Still tasting coffee, working for minimum wages in a city in Philippines. She was able to kiss her frog, face her fears and go after her dreams. Isn’t that amazing.

So if you have not spent your 13th month salary, the bonus, consider spending it wisely for your financial future. After all it will reap you far more money than just spending it on a gadget or a holiday.

If you are open minded drop me a message here and I will answer and help you. Probably you may even meet this special lady I mentioned above 🙂

Its Day 15 Now On My Journey – Lets Kiss The Frog

January 8, 2018 by Claude Fullinfaw Leave a Comment

Here is a question that threw me a few days ago. If I were to ask you “would you kiss the most ugly, slimy frog you see would you”? Probably Not!

So let me tell you the story about kissing the frog and probably you will look at frogs differently. 🙂

A few days ago just after the New Year I was flying back from Manila in the Philippines to Brisbane, Australia. I had selected a book to take along for the flight called “Kiss The Frog” by Brian Tracey. The title caught my attention and as I had read books by Brian Tracey before I knew this would probably be just as good or even better.

WHAT IS YOUR WISH THIS YEAR?

Imagine if you had made a wish for this year and that was to earn extra income and probably start a home based business from home. You so badly want to make this happen and are hoping you get just the business opportunity to begin 2018. Your thoughts consume so much that they go with you every where you go.

Now while you are out walking through the fields one day behind your home deep in thought you take a short break and sit down on a big rock close to the water edge where the lilies float, quite near the bank of the river that winds it way through the fields.

Suddenly you notice the most ugly frog sitting near you and its looking up at you with the weirdest eyes. Now you start to feel very uncomfortable and begin to edge away along the rock as far away from the frog as possible. Just as you start to move away the frog starts talking to you in the sweetest and deepest of voices. He says that he is a prince and is very wealthy but sadly he was transformed into a frog by a cruel witch. The only way he can become a prince again was if someone like you kisses him on the lips. Frog’s Lips!

He says that if you kiss him he will marry you and you become a princess yourself and live in the castle across the valley.

You are most nervous as kissing a frog had never passed your mind, especially an ugly one like this frog. However the thrill to be a princess is so strong that you pluck up all the courage and do so and everything comes true after that. The frog becomes a prince again and you marry the prince.

This is Brian’s story. I loved it as I read the first chapter and wanted to share this story with you.

FROGS IN OUR LIVES!

Brain Tracey says in life we have so many frogs in our life. These frogs could be any one of the many reasons why we never do anything worthwhile in our life. For example how often have we used excuses such as “I don’t have money”, or “I don’t have time”, or “I need to ask my spouse about this before I start”.

Have you said something like that to someone recently?

Well if you have then that excuse if your frog. Kiss that excuse goodbye and just start on the journey to change your life this year. Lets make 2018 a year where we do well in life. This is exactly what I am doing in 2018.

Its not easy but I am doing it anyway. After all my life is not easy right now. So doing something uneasy isn’t going to change anything. In fact it just may make things better. I am willing to kiss my frogs 🙂

If you love the story of ‘Kiss The Frog” why not buy the book and read every chapter in it. I am sure you will get lots out of it.

Now if I have motivated you to kiss that frog holding you back I am happy. Can you just LIKE this post as a sign of saying you did.

Day 14 – I am focusing on creating my reality

January 7, 2018 by Claude Fullinfaw Leave a Comment

Its now 2 weeks since I starting my journey towards one of my biggest ever goals ever in my life. Its the 6th of Jan 2018 and I am on track so far. My goal is to be a Diamond in my company.

When I first started in network marketing I remember mentioning to one of the managers back ion 2006 that I would be a top income earner of the company within 6 months. That was way back in 2006, some 12 years ago. So why have I not gotten to my goal as yet?

FACING THE TRUTHS!

Gosh if only I knew better. If only I knew that the same approaches that work in traditional business also work in MLM with slight differences.

What are these slight differences? Let me explain.

In the traditional world of business I could go after my dreams pretty much on my own. I could try different approaches without consulting anyone. However when you work with a large company we must abide by the company rules. This is very important. This is a very good thing as these rules keeps everything and everyone in check and working on an equal-fair playing field. I have grown to love this as its fair to everyone.

One Big Challenge I Faced!

However my biggest challenge was not from outside but from within myself. You see I had only grown as far as I had allowed myself to grow in the 20 plus years in traditional work. I had not sown any extra knowledge other than what I had picked up in college and that was 20 years prior to getting into MLM. This was hindering my rank advancement. If the space between my ears was not being sown in, how could I expect my exterior to ever change. I had to change the way I thought. After all our thoughts create our dreams, those dreams if worked on would then create our realities. But I had not sown anything new since 1982. How could I ever change with the old thoughts I had. There was no way this could happen.

Having The Wrong Expectations Can Lead To Wrong Results!

To make matters worse I had not sown any knowledge nor skills towards personal nor leadership growth in all the years I had been running my restaurant in Brisbane.

Now when I joined MLM in 2003 I was expecting to rise up and be a leader when I was totally not equipped to lead anyone let alone myself to start with. I was totally blinded to this. Can you imagine the big mistake I was making to think I could be successful in a business model than involved people. Involving people where they were not going to work for me. Rather work along side me. I could not force anyone to work for me as in a boos-employee relationship.

How Am I Changing My Reality?

So fast tracking forward to the end of 2017 and early 2018 I now am placing big emphasis on my personal growth everyday.

  • I say my affirmations at least 8 to 10 times a day.
  • I have actually set my alarm on my iPhone to go off every two hours to remind me of my goals this year.
  • I have also created a screen saver for my phone that constantly is in my face when I open my phone everyday.
  • I blog about my day everyday and add something to what I learn everyday to my blog. Just like what I am doing right now.

This is how I am creating my own reality. I am not leaving my goal or goals to chance. Rather creating or designing every aspect of what I want so nothing is left to chance.

So What Is Your Reality?

Are you also placing huge emphasis on what you are creating so you can see the fruits of your work in 11 months time. I guarantee you that if you do it will all be worth the effort.

Share your thoughts as I would love to read what you are doing in creating your reality too.

Lets grow our realities together.

Your partner in success.

Day 13 – The Cost Verses Value Of Going USANA Diamond Setting In

January 7, 2018 by Claude Fullinfaw Leave a Comment

As I pass through my 13th day in my journey towards being a Usana Business Leader, A Diamond, the reality of it all starts to set in.

BELIEVE IT CAN BE ME!

I realize that to become who I want to be I first need to believe that it can be me in that position, as a USANA Diamond Director. Believing is the first step towards this huge yet rewarding journey ahead of me. Unless I believe nothing will happen.

Let me explain what I mean here. If I believe that its possible, which I do, then I will start to implement steps and take the necessary steps or actions to make it happen. Unless I take action and do these steps nothing will happen. Its only when things happen and the right things take place will I see the results from the fruits of my hard work ahead this year. This is when the 3rd part of this 3 step process.

Be, Do, HAVE! If I carry all three out will I get to wear the Diamond Pin. All this will not take place if I don’t believe first.

So this takes me to my tile of this post “Cost verses Value”

COST vs VALUE!

How often do we acquire things and look at the cost of the item rather than the true value of something we buy. Let me give you an example here.

Imagine If I were to give you $500 as a gift and you bought a beautiful painting. Over time that painting may gain in value but only as long as there is a buyer who sees it’s value and is willing to pay the price you ask for it. Verses if I were to give you the same amount of money and you invest it in learning a new craft that over the years will pay you many times over as you use your new skill to make you many times the $500 invested.

So when you look at something just dont look at the face value of the item. Look to see what could you benefit from acquiring the item.

WHY DID I CHOSE MLM?

Why network marketing was value to me years ago. Many of you may know I was in traditional business for years. So why did I change over in 2003 and pick an MLM company to partner with.

I saw something in MLM when I first took a serious look in 2003. Prior to that I had tried a few times but never actually realized the true value of network marketing. It was only after I started to read books and listen to other people who had great success stories that I realized the true value of this type of business model. Not only would I gain income but I would grow as a person and leader within my firm as well as the community. There are so many benefits attached to MLM that it would take me hours to jot them down here. However one that stands out is “You are in business for yourself but not by yourself”. I would say this is probably one of the main reasons I joined besides the income attraction and product quality.

ABOUT PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT!

This has come to be so true over the years, upgrading my skills and developing as a person. I have actually changed and done so many things I have not done in my life prior to 2003. I have attended Toastmasters for example and learned so much in personal and leadership development through this organization. In addition I have invested so much in attended seminars held by Robert Kiyosaki, Tony Robbins and John C Maxwell.

Now most people may see that as a huge cost in money terms. I see value. I have learned so much from these great men that that knowledge has now placed me in a great position to be of value to countless others. This is priceless as compared to the few thousands I have spent so far acquiring that knowledge.

I hope you see what I mean here by cost verses value.

WHAT ABOUT YOU?

If you are thinking of doing something different and fearing about spending the money on the upcoming project consider what intrinsic value will it have or impact it will have positively on your career? How much will you gain from be in acquisition of that knowledge rather than not being in the know how? What advantage will you have in the market place where you perform? Some questions to ask yourself today.

In 2018 I am becoming more and more fearless. I am learning to ‘KISS THE FROG‘ as Brain Tracey will say. Facing my fears and challenging myself.

What about you? Are you going to be fearful or fearless and look for True Value in what you want.

Success to you in 2018 too.

This is Claude Fullinfaw on a short holiday in Brisbane Australia.

Day 11 – Taking a small break and heading to Brisbane in Australia

January 6, 2018 by Claude Fullinfaw Leave a Comment

Its been 4 months almost to the day when I first went to Manila to rebuild my USANA Business. I will talk about how I am rebuilding the business in the next post.

In September of 2017 I went to the Philippines and based myself again in Makati in the hope I could re-establish contact with old members of my Usana Business. Many have quit since I left in 2012. However a few have not done so.

Fortunately for me this time I was not starting from scratch like I did in 2010 but still had two original team members from 2010 -2012 who were keen to come under my wing and move forward again.

At first it all seemed so hard as people I once knew who were just beginners were now earning 20 times more what I was. I have had to suppress this victim mentality and look towards the future and put into place action steps that would take me forward and not backward. These people who are now Diamonds are being very helpful and supportive and helping me catch up with my goals. I owe a lot to each of them too as i move forward now in 2018.

The first thing I did  when I got back in Manila last September was to focus on just the two ladies who had stepped up and asked for help. I placed my own goals on hold as I knew if I could help these two people succeed I would too. In the first 6 weeks little seemed to happen. But gradually I started to see things begin to fall into place and growth happen. Looking back these 16 weeks since I first went to Manila to start doing Usana Business again I feel I have almost caught up to where I was in late 2012.

With an almost new team now moving forward into 2018 I am confident that the next 16 weeks will have growth many times more than what we have seen since September 2017. I have a lot of work ahead of me but am committed to make things happen and looking forward to a bright year ahead now.

On Jan 3rd I boarded a Philippine Airline flight back to Brisbane with a satisfied feeling of having accomplished much. I am taking a short break to see the family. Then back again to Manila soon.

Though the job has not been completed at least we have restarted and things are moving again now.

I will stay in Brisbane until January 28th 2018 and enjoy the company of my wife Vicki and the rest of the family. Next week I shall visit USANA Sydney for the USANA 20th Celebrations being held there. Shall catch up with old friends and shall enjoy this break.

Follow my trip over the next three weeks as I blog about my holiday as well as what I learn along the way.

This is Claude Fullinfaw now in Brisbane for a short break.
