Day 13 – The Cost Verses Value Of Going USANA Diamond Setting In

As I pass through my 13th day in my journey towards being a Usana Business Leader, A Diamond, the reality of it all starts to set in.

BELIEVE IT CAN BE ME!

I realize that to become who I want to be I first need to believe that it can be me in that position, as a USANA Diamond Director. Believing is the first step towards this huge yet rewarding journey ahead of me. Unless I believe nothing will happen.

Let me explain what I mean here. If I believe that its possible, which I do, then I will start to implement steps and take the necessary steps or actions to make it happen. Unless I take action and do these steps nothing will happen. Its only when things happen and the right things take place will I see the results from the fruits of my hard work ahead this year. This is when the 3rd part of this 3 step process.

Be, Do, HAVE! If I carry all three out will I get to wear the Diamond Pin. All this will not take place if I don’t believe first.

So this takes me to my tile of this post “Cost verses Value”

COST vs VALUE!

How often do we acquire things and look at the cost of the item rather than the true value of something we buy. Let me give you an example here.

Imagine If I were to give you $500 as a gift and you bought a beautiful painting. Over time that painting may gain in value but only as long as there is a buyer who sees it’s value and is willing to pay the price you ask for it. Verses if I were to give you the same amount of money and you invest it in learning a new craft that over the years will pay you many times over as you use your new skill to make you many times the $500 invested.

So when you look at something just dont look at the face value of the item. Look to see what could you benefit from acquiring the item.

WHY DID I CHOSE MLM?

Why network marketing was value to me years ago. Many of you may know I was in traditional business for years. So why did I change over in 2003 and pick an MLM company to partner with.

I saw something in MLM when I first took a serious look in 2003. Prior to that I had tried a few times but never actually realized the true value of network marketing. It was only after I started to read books and listen to other people who had great success stories that I realized the true value of this type of business model. Not only would I gain income but I would grow as a person and leader within my firm as well as the community. There are so many benefits attached to MLM that it would take me hours to jot them down here. However one that stands out is “You are in business for yourself but not by yourself”. I would say this is probably one of the main reasons I joined besides the income attraction and product quality.

ABOUT PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT!

This has come to be so true over the years, upgrading my skills and developing as a person. I have actually changed and done so many things I have not done in my life prior to 2003. I have attended Toastmasters for example and learned so much in personal and leadership development through this organization. In addition I have invested so much in attended seminars held by Robert Kiyosaki, Tony Robbins and John C Maxwell.

Now most people may see that as a huge cost in money terms. I see value. I have learned so much from these great men that that knowledge has now placed me in a great position to be of value to countless others. This is priceless as compared to the few thousands I have spent so far acquiring that knowledge.

I hope you see what I mean here by cost verses value.

WHAT ABOUT YOU?

If you are thinking of doing something different and fearing about spending the money on the upcoming project consider what intrinsic value will it have or impact it will have positively on your career? How much will you gain from be in acquisition of that knowledge rather than not being in the know how? What advantage will you have in the market place where you perform? Some questions to ask yourself today.

In 2018 I am becoming more and more fearless. I am learning to ‘KISS THE FROG‘ as Brain Tracey will say. Facing my fears and challenging myself.

Day 12 – Going up the slope its always hard in the beginning

Have you ever tried going for a long trek over rugged terrain? Going for a walk with no real practice before the event?

Its never easy for the first one to 2 miles however its does get easier as you keep going. Your second wind kicks in and you find yourself settling into a rhythm pacing yourself out for the trip ahead. The walk does get easier with every step you take.

This is exactly what happened to us this week as we walked with Andrew in the forest to the south of Brisbane. As we started off from where we parked our cars and headed out into the woods behind the car-park, at first I felt winded and had no stamina in me to keep going. Its been months since I did any strenuous exercise of any sorts and I was getting tired easily. I was not fit for the walk. But I kept up with the group.

That’s how I felt for the first 30 minutes of the walk that morning. But gradually I begun to enjoy it. My lungs were getting used to the walking and my muscles were loosening up. I was able to take in the sights and sounds of nature around me and the walk became more pleasant.

So why am I sharing this walk with you here?

Well in 2018 you will be setting new goals and trying your best to get them accomplished. You will be stretching far beyond your comfort zone hopefully.

You may find it hard in the beginning as you start to learn new skills. It wont be easy at first. But just like my walk being hard in the beginning and then easing out to be rather pleasant. You too will find find your journey towards your goals taking on a rather easier approach as you get accustomed to doing new things and becoming used to them soon.

Remember success is a series of small steps that done over time will give you the desired results you so much want. Repetition is the key.

I hope you benefit from this rather simple yet powerful tip about pushing yourself past the point where it then starts to get easier. Lets make 2018 a better year in our lives

Day 9 – Jan 1 2018 Has Come And I Had The Biggest Win

I woke this morning full of beans as I awoke to an extra ordinary dream. I was in a strange dream where I was a Diamond Director in my company.

Now I have never ever had this dream before and I was surprised to have one.

Or should I be surprised as I have been saying affirmations for the last 10 days reprogramming my mind a minimum of 10 times a day. (Check my post on affirmations out.)

THE POWER OF THE SUBCONSCIOUS

We all know that its our subconscious mind that creates our external world we live in. Everything we see around us has been someone’s dream first. They dreamt of things much before they manifested. The mind is all powerful and can make things happen if we so chose to. Have you tried to say affirmations before? I have never had and thought it a crazy idea. It was only when I heard of the successes of others that I decided to give it a go. Thank God I did as this dream of mine is a result of affirmations. Its certainly working.

BEING CONSISTENT IS THE KEY HERE!

This has been exactly what I have been doing over and over again the last 10 days. In fact I have set my alarm to go off every two hours to prompt me to stay on track. I am not allowing anything to happen by chance anymore. As soon as the clock goes off I say my affirmation.

So this dream has been my biggest win so far and it was well timed to be during the night of the 31st December 2017. I am amazed that my mind now, both conscious and subconscious, is working almost together on getting me to my goals this year.

SO WHAT ABOUT YOU!

Are you on track with where you are going? Probably a bit too early to comment on that as the year has begun. Probably a bit too early if you have left it till January 1st to get started. But don’t despair as you can still get into top gear by focusing on where you want to get to and by starting NOW. Get ‘Brain Tracey’ book “Flight Plans” and have a read. He certainly places everything in the right order for you to get off the starting block easily.

Lets do this together and make this year our best. In this world we need to add value for the people who come after us. If we just take things from this world and not leave anything back then we slowly will deplete all the great things here on this planet. It raping the Universe. Its time to leave a small or big legacy for the next generation.

So friend do have a Happy New Year and design that life of yours too. Leave someone for our next generation.

Day 8 – Its 31st Dec My Plans Are Made

Interesting while most people could be making plans or New Year Resolutions I am all set to take my business and my life to yet another level.

WHY AM I SO CONFIDENT?

I have been planning this moment for months. This moment where I take my business and my life to yet another level. I dream of not only being successful but with people who have come along this journey with me.

Gathering a group of like minded people together, reading books, doing affirmations, setting goals and vision boards all focused towards getting to a goal I so much wanted all these years.

WHY THIS IS SIGNIFICANT?

Achieving any goal means you have accomplished what you have set out to obtain. For me getting to be an Executive Diamond is exciting. Getting to this coveted goal means quite a few things to me personally.

To start with its certainly going to set us up financially in a position not to worry about money any more. But its much more than just that. It will be a reflection on how much I have grown to be a leader of men and women. This means much more than just earning income. I will be transformed into a leader who now has the ability to empower others to go after their goals too. That’s what I am aspiring to be.

So while I await for the clock to tick over and 2018 comes along I am poised to launch with speed towards my goal. Best of all I have not waited for January 1st 2018 to begin. I started well before the year end. Moving gears as the year closed.

This certainly has gained me an advantage as I am in momentum now and well passed the starting line. Its Day 8 and i am well on my way.
