Day 6 – Making New Friends | How People Come Into My Life

Its interesting how I connect with people. Day 6 was the 29th of December 2017 into my run towards becoming Diamond. That was yeterday 🙂 .

With literally just days if not a few hours before the year turned over in 2018 I was beginning to wonder who would come into my life, who would call me so that I may help them in their own journeys.

Remember I am a foreigner here in Manila. Unlike you, I have no school, nor college nor office mates here in Philippines. Yet I manage to grow my team each month right here in Manila and across the Philippines. How do i do this?

I will come to that in a minute!

But first I like to address an issue that may possibly be bugging you.

You say you running out of contacts right!

Now if you are beginning to say that you have very few contacts or no friends left to call to share your home based business opportunity then this post may help you.

Lets turn the clock back to what if you did things different years ago? What if you were able to develop friendships and keep them over the years? How would that now impact you moving forward?

I would imagine you be doing much better and you be happier.

Here is a common problem …

What most people do is live like islands and not connect with people. We become very insular and focus on work and our families. We just block out anything that either may be a distraction or may seem like not adding any value to our lives.

All we want is to benefit and seldom look at giving more than receiving from others. In other words we want to harvest more than what we sow. Can that we done. I have found out its not possible. Farmers need to constantly sow new seed to harvest a new crop. We forget this common principle.

My Common Repeated Mistake!

Einstein once said that if you do the same thing over and over again its a form of insanity.

I just never ever kept friends. (However this has all changed.)

This is where I made a big mistake over the years prior to network marketing. I was too focused on ‘me’ than others. I did not sowed into relationships. I had no reason to do that at that time. My circle of influence was very small, very weak.

May be you can relate to this too.

Its like having a bank account where you just keep saving. And Saving. until one day for some reason you have to stop. However when you start to withdraw from that account sadly it can only give you just enough to the amount you saved. Nothing more.

Lets Learn!

Life is just like that. If we don’t keep constantly sowing into old relationships and developing new ones its going to be hard doing anything, especially a business in relationship marketing (network marketing).

Build Trust!

MLM business involves people and where people are concerned it involves ‘trust’. Unless people trust you how can you or me expect to start a relationship let alone a business transaction of any sorts? Does this make sense.

My Suggestion!

So if you are starting out with very little contacts here is what I would do if I were you. Start to make new friends. The best place is Facebook. Keep in constant touch with these people and always, always add value so you start to be seen as the ‘expert’ in your field. Over time they will start to reach out to you. This is my only suggestion to you. If you follow this secret of mine in less than 3 years you will be extremely successful.

How My Life Is Changing!

Well I have been doing just that. Like you I too had very few friends before I joined my company. I actually struggled hugely for quite sometime. Most people would have quit. I had my vision and so I was fixed on the vision and not about quitting. Quitting was never an option.

How Facebook Has Played A Part!

With the advent of Facebook I saw an opportunity whereby I could develop relationships with people across the city as well as across borders effortlessly. However I realised I had to constantly offer value to these virtual friends to build trust and credibility.

And I Get Rewaarded Sometimes!

Yesterday I reaped a great reward when a young man from Antipolo called us and wanted to join the company and our team. I was able to build trust immediately as he could see what I did as I was transparent online.

How About You?

What if you do the same? What if you invest a few hours a week investing in building your own online presence with your own unique selling proposition?

Over a few months surely things will change. It wont change if you have a short term vision of becoming rich fast. There is no such thing as “quick rich scheme”. If it is then it will dry up as soon as it starts.
