Working 9 Hours A Day Just To Survive, Is It Good Enough?

August 4, 2018 by Claude Fullinfaw Leave a Comment

Here is a lesson worth taking in.

A few months ago I sat down with my mentor in the Philippines and he shared a simple yet effective way to look at life. He showed me how so many of us work so hard for a living giving up precious time just to earn. And while we do that we also trade our health in. Chasing a ‘myth’. Its about working so hard hoping life will turn out good at the end. Trying our best to save up a good enough nest egg in savings to retire on.

The Irony Is …

The irony is many of us will die prematurely before the age of 65. This is due to health conditions such as heart diseases, hypertension, diabetes, etc. All caused by the lifestyle we lead just to get ahead in life. The ones remaining, the ones living will be either working too hard at time of retirement or dependent on family or welfare to take care of them. Only a few people will be financially well off to live their lives out very comfortably.

Lets Look At Life As It Is Now …

Before we look to the future lets look at a normal working day for an ordinary employee right now. What is our lives looking like right now, this week. This can well fit into the life of a self employed person too. So don’t ignore it as I was self employed and thought i was doing well until I read the book “RICH DAD POOR DAD‘ by Robert Kiyosaki in 2003.

So lets take a look into our day.

Most people work 9 hours a day possibly 5 days a week. Some do work 6 days but lets say we work 5 day.

The Rat Race Of LifeIf we look at the photo here we see that people work from 8 am to 5 pm and this is taking as normal. This is taken as normal if we want to earn an income. But do people just work 9 hours a day? In my opinion now from what I learned is that most people’s working day isn’t just the 9 hours spent at work.

It starts the moment they wake up in the morning. From the moment they wake up at 5 am to the time they arrive at work. Every single moment from that dreaded alarm going off to clocking in at work should be added to their working day. Why?

Because all they do after waking up is focus on work related tasks.

Now the same thing happens after work too. They are rushing home  to get back so they can get ready for the next day’s work. Little thought is placed on exercise, family time, etc. They would rather sacrifice personal health in favor of preparation of the next day’s work. Isn’t this familiar? Have you done this before? I certainly have.

We work at least 13 hours a day around work related tasks!

This accounts for over 13 hours a day towards work related tasks. Leaving the person with just 11 hours to spare. The question is “is this free time. Your free time?”

I doubt it. This time is not free as the individual needs to complete a number of tasks before he goes to work the next day.

Lets see what these are. Here are some tasks that have to be taken care of:

  • Wash and iron clothes,
  • Prepare the evening meal,
  • Sometimes prepare the meal for next day’s lunch too,
  • Help kids with their home work,
  • Watch a bit of TV,
  • Certainly Facebook time is needed.
  • And then finally some sleep.

If this person is lucky he or she will have 5 to 6 hours sleep.

Imagine Working 40 Years In This Routine?

Is This Life

Now this person does this routine over and over again not just for a few days or weeks but for their entire lives. They work like this for over 40 years until retirement. This is the race they have got themselves into. And as their income grows its harder to get out of the race as they get so used to the rewards that they are willing to sacrifice their free time just to have this so called lifestyle. Is this Rate Race worth living?

I know of factory employees, directors of companies and even self employed people work these crazy hours, living this rat race. All the while presuming they are a success in life.  And what is surprising is they do it for just survival. Not knowing the trap they have gotten into until its just too late.

Why Do I Say This …

Until all they worked for is either lost and they then question why did they work so hard. Or one day on their death bed their family says to them “why did you work so hard? We just wanted your time not money?”. Its too late to repent then.

So is it worth it…

Slaving away at a desk 9 hours a day for 40 years with a promise that their retirement will be secure if they do so.

I hope you see the logic behind all this.

In Conclusion…

Have you learned from my initial introduction on this page on how many people may not live to retirement age and then explaining how much we work towards a myth of living forever in comfort.

So the argument now is why focus on the destination (retirement) only. Why not focus on the journey (living life) as well. Why not have fun while you work now and enjoy life now too.

Some questions to ponder upon …

  • What if you can earn back those 9 hours you spend behind a desk and be able to live a more purposeful life having more free time for yourself and family?
  • What if you could be able to get those dreams you once had as a young man or woman now instead of just waiting for retirement?

Anything is possible if we envision it.

If you are open to learn more do message me and I shall help you.

A Page In My Life Getting To Be That Leader I Envision Myself To Be

July 8, 2018 by Claude Fullinfaw Leave a Comment

Time is flying past literally as I work on my goal towards becoming a USANA Diamond.I set this goal right out of my comfort zone in December of 2017 aiming to be a Diamond by the same time in 2018.

Its getting closer to that date however I am am still miles away from arriving at my destination. What’s more important is that I had set that goal and the intention is set. Because without any intentions and goal setting I probably wouldn’t be aiming at anything at all.

Usana Business In Philippines
Collaboration With Like Minded People

With just 25 weeks to go to get there I still have a good chance in getting to my destination on time.

What have I accomplished in the last 6 months. During the last 6 months I have found another two leaders. Interestingly these two are on separate legs and are really serious in making things happen. So I have gone from working just two legs here in the Philippines to adding another team in Cebu. These people are excited to come on board as The USANA Cebu office will be opened later this month in July 2018.

The fourth team is in Germany just joining us in USANA opening in Europe. These changes will probably propel us closer to our 2018 goals.

I set the foundations for growth so its just a matter of time now to see who in the team will rise up and flourish. While all this is happening I will continue to do what needs to be done to make my goal of being a Diamond a reality.

Shall share regularly what is making this possible.

A Unusual Success Story | How Did This Filipino Get Successful

June 27, 2018 by Claude Fullinfaw Leave a Comment

About 7 years ago in 2011 a Filipino named Christopher left Manila to try his luck overseas. His country of choice was Singapore about 3 hours flight from his home country.

His parents funded his trip across the sea and he left his pharmaceutical job to seek his fortune. He was lucky to have generous parents who could afford his expensive ambitions.

For those of you who have never been to Singapore its a beautiful country of high rise buildings, exotic food and terrific shopping. As a tourist you only get a month VISA to enter and then one has to exit the country.

How To Become Successful In USANA Business
A Story of Persistence That Pays Off

Christopher did not have a job nor a job VISA. He went as a tourist hoping to secure a job on entering the country. His parents gave him enough money to get by until he finds a job. Sadly this was not going to be that easy as he had imagined. Month after month he tried to no success.

After 30 days he had to leave the country, the only way to come back on a new visa. He went off to Malaysia and a day or so later reentered on a new VISA. He kept doing this for 7 long months hoping to get a job. Thank GOD he had very generous parents that supported him.

In Singapore he stayed in hostels where other Filipinos lived, and food and board was affordable.

On his 7th exit out of Singapore into Malaysia he met his wife. Now about that time the girl friend Ashley had caught up with an old school friend via Facebook. She learned that the old friend was on a family holiday in Bali and she got curious what was he doing. He looked very successful, was happy and his lifestyle got the better of her. She wanted to know what he was doing.

A few weeks later they met in Manila and she was impressed with what she saw. She realised that after 7 years of hard work she was no closer to her dreams as when she first started right after college. While her friend was enjoying life, working part time and earning about 10 times she earned a month. The friend had never finished college die to family financial limitations as most Filipinos face. Yet here he was highly successful while she was not.

This is where Christopher comes into the picture. The next day after Ashley met her old friend, she introduced Chris to him too. Chris saw the opportunity that Usana presented and decided to partner up with Mentor Nath.

To cut a long story short I met this couple about a month ago when they spoke at a team event here in makati. Today this couple have gone on to be very very successful. I felt they had a great story worth sharing. Hence took the time to pen this down.

I am impressed about the consistent effort Christopher made to create this successful life he now has. How many of us will try 7 times to get a job in a foreign country. When I read his story I thought it was well worth a mention on my blog.

This is one of countless stories I hear and as I capture them I try sharing to motivate myself as well as others like you to take action. Its never too late to try.

I hope I have inspired you today.

If I have do like this post or even share it.

Working Towards Being A Diamond In USANA

June 14, 2018 by Claude Fullinfaw Leave a Comment

Its been a few weeks since I last wrote about my journey towards being a USANA Diamond.

Its an interesting journey as this is not only about me but more so about everyone in the team who directly and indirectly impact me into becoming the person I aspire to be.

A STEP FORWARD THEN TWO STEPS BACK!

I remember once when I was in Singapore one of my USANA Members in the team saying to me “ I take two steps forward and then I need to take one step backwards”. She said it in frustration as most people would. We all want to move fast from post to post and make rank advancements as quickly as we can.

In my case I sometimes take one step forward and before I know it I am forced to take 2 steps backwards. I now look at this as consolidating my position. I now call it “becoming the better, stronger leader within” before I can move forward.

USANA Business Success - How To Become A USANA Member
Learn From People Better Than You

I am learning to deal with all sort of situations and people. Situations where people place blame on team members or team for their lack of advanacement, to myself thinking how can I grow into a better person to help others.

GROWING PAIN!

These I could call growing pains as seen in teenagers when they have huge growth spurts in adolescence. Business is so much like a teenager – moody, temperamental and painful when growing.

But the experience of growth is exciting and challenging for what lies ahead. The mystery of growing is attractive and mesmerising.  I am becoming the better leader I always wanted to be. I never knew I had to go through all this but sure its seems wonderful now that I am faced with their opportunities to learn and grow.

In the last four months I have heard great stories about success from ordinary people gone before me. Some of these stories I am capturing and adding them here on this blog to motivate people just like me to aspire for more.

Stay tuned as I will add more to this journey of mine in becoming the Diamond I want to be. My Diamond, My Life!

How Students Can Earn Income While Studying in Manila

June 14, 2018 by Claude Fullinfaw Leave a Comment

In this article I shall share some concepts how students in Manila, Philippines can now earn part time incomes while still be able to focus and do well in their studies at Colleges such as DelaSalle or UP University. For that matter any students in Manila.

Global Companies Need You!

There are many companies in the Philippines looking for people to market their products to their potential customers. In today’s business environment we can use social media to reach out to people who may want the company’s products or services.

How Can I Earn Extra Income As A Student In Manila Philippines
How Can This 20 Year Old Earn Extra Income in Philippines Working Part Time?

Want To Be Paid On Performance!

PS: In the photo above we are coaching a 20 year young lady who was a student last year now to earn part time extra income. Currently she works at a call center and finds the income not enough. Her Human Resources degree is hard finding her the right paying job. She is excited to be a part of our team now.

Companies pay on performance hence it is not necessary to work long hours to deliver a Client to the company. All you need to do is learn what you can do from a compliance point of view and then use the skills you already have to share digital content to your viewers in the Philippines. This is exciting as you can set your own pay scale and earn whatever amount you want. There is no sealing to how much you earn.

WHY NOT THINK GLOBAL!

It gets even better than that as today you can reach out to people all over the world such as Germany, Italy, USA or Australia using social networks as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and SnapChat. If a customer buys in any of the countries the company is in you get paid.

LIKE TO EARN DOLLARS WEEKLY?

Now it can get better than that too. Some of these companies pay weekly and they pay in US dollars. Would you as a student love to earn in US dollars extra income from your own digital home business that is global. Everything is already set up so all you need is market the products to your online friends.

NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED!

The company has its own systems in place. No need to re-invent the wheel. Just tap into a proven system and make extra income as a student. Isn’t that wonderful.

Now let me tell you a story…

A couple of years ago there was a student in one of the colleges in Manila Philippines. She was just 18 years old back then and had no clue about making money or even running a business. All she was keen about was making some extra cash part time as a student.

The person who introduced her asked her to do just two things.

  1. One was to learn,
  2. The other was to follow.

She is a good student and she did just that. From what I heard she not only learned but went on to start earning $1000 USD a week within 16 weeks. Yes 4 months. She hit the bonuses the company gives and was earning passive income in a short period of time.

HOW DID SHE DO IT?

When asked how she did it. She said she had no clue. Upon pressing this young girl to give some clues she said “ I just followed my sponsor”. Not sure how it all happened.

MY MESSAGE TO YOU…

So if you are a good follower and can learn how about we connect as I can help you earn an additional $100 or $300 dollars in the next 4 weeks. Would an additional 10,000 or 20,000 peso be exciting to have as a student here in Manila.
