In December of 2013 I decided that I needed to take control of my health, my body and my life. I had slowly started to put on weight that though I had not realized how much I was over weight, I knew from my energy levels things were not right.
I was dancing around the 90kg mark at the age of 53 years old in December and felt that I needed to lose weight and lose it fast. After all doing something slow is painful.
I had picked up many bad habits of not exercising, picking at food and eating larger than normal food portion sizes. In addition I eat sugary foods, drank a bit and loved fried foods. All these were a good recipe for a heart attack.
I so badly wanted to be less than 82kgs and anything below 82 would be great. That was my weight loss plateau for over 28 years. Just imagine that.
I had never dipped below 82 kgs since I was 28 years old. In fact I started to put on weight from the age of 22 years sliding up from 70 kgs to reach a high of 94 a few years ago. I was a typical time bomb of a heart attack waiting to happen.
I needed to do something fast in 2014 if I needed to not fall victim to a heart attack.
So this is my story how I began my weight loss journey and I shall be sharing the steps I took to knock off my weight.
